Repairs

If you use our sensors correctly they will work a long time without any repairs. Please always observe proper handling and installation of the transducer. Please contact us if you need further information.
For some applications, e.g. tests in the automotive sector, it might happen that the cable will be damaged. For most of our sensors teh cable can be replaced.
Even sensors that were exposed to an overload can be repaired in certain cases. Before returning a sensor to us for repair / inspection, please check:

  • the input and output impedance (for unamplified sensors)
  • the offset
  • acceleration sensors, you can take a test in relation to gravity. The procedure can be found in our FAQ.

These measurements are used to check if the sensor could be repaired. Most of the transducers from our program are repairable if the sensitive elements are not destroyed, or the transducer has been manufactured to be as non-repairable (eg some crash sensors, transducers for OEM). Please keep the results, together with a description of the application and the environmental conditions in our repair form.

Please

  • dismount the sensor from your application/mechanical parts
  • even if you have a connector attached to the cable end, please attach a mating
  • inform about type of connector and pin assignment, because otherwise we will cut the connector.

Costs

The repair is free of charge within the warranty period, provided there is a manufacturing defect and the sensor has been properly handled, installed and operated.
Transducer outside the warranty period will be repaired after the release of our cost estimates Lages.
This cost analysis for each sensor in the amount of 90.00 EUR will be calculated as a net, which are charged upon placement of the repair. If the sensor is found to be not repairable, this fee will be charged.

Calibrations

If you wish to calibrate your sensors, we are the right partner too.
We offer DKD calibrations or manufacturer calibrations. Of cours we are providing this service also to sensors which you did nit buy from us.
